The Bomba rice is a variety of rice from India now cultivated in the east of Spain, widely used in the country and the world for the preparation of Paella. This type of rice is very absorbent and has an extraordinary resistance during thecooking, for that each grain keeps its original shape even once in the plate besides the fact that it does not stick easily to the pan. The Bomba rice also stands out for its texture, for the round and for its pearly color.
